Annie Covers ‘Idibia’ Tattoo Days After Dismissing Reunion Rumours
Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay has sparked fresh conversations online after covering her “Idibia” tattoo with a butterfly, days after dismissing rumours that she had reunited with her former husband, music icon 2Baba.
The tattoo change was noticed in recent photos shared on Annie’s Instagram page, where the inscription “Idibia” on her upper chest had been replaced with a butterfly design. The development has fueled renewed reactions from fans, with many interpreting it as another sign that the actress is moving on from her previous marriage.
The latest development comes shortly after Annie dismissed speculation that she had reconciled with 2Baba following the circulation of old videos showing the former couple together.
Reacting to the reports via her Instagram Stories, she wrote:
“Old videos circulating everywhere, false news everywhere.”
The reunion rumours gained traction after old footage of Annie and 2Baba sharing an affectionate moment resurfaced online, prompting speculation that the pair had rekindled their relationship. Annie, however, clarified that the clips were outdated and did not reflect her current reality.
Annie and 2Baba ended their marriage in 2025 after more than a decade together. The Afrobeats legend has since moved on and is now married to Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.
Although Annie has not publicly explained the meaning behind the butterfly tattoo, many fans have described the artwork as symbolic of transformation, healing and a fresh chapter in her life.
