Ayra Starr Opens Up About Major Surgery, Says Recovery Is Taking Longer

Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has revealed that she recently underwent major surgery, explaining to fans that her recovery has taken longer than expected and is the reason she has been less active in recent days.

The Grammy-nominated artiste shared the update via her Instagram Story, apologising to her fanbase, known as Mobstarrs, for her reduced online presence. She disclosed that while she initially expected a quick recovery, the procedure turned out to be more complicated than doctors had anticipated.

“Hey Mobstarrs,
I’m sorry you’re not seeing as much of me as I would like. I had major surgery a few days ago. I was hoping it would be a quick recovery but it was more complicated than they expected. I just need a bit of rest and I’ll be back!!!”

Despite the health setback, Ayra Starr reassured fans that she is recovering and remains excited about the release of her upcoming project, StarrGiRL. She urged supporters to continue promoting the project while she focuses on regaining her strength.

“Starrgirl is coming so sooooon, I need everyone out there spreading the word, tell your friends, your family, your neighbours!!! Order Starrgirl asap!!! Love you guys.”

The singer did not disclose the nature of the surgery or provide further details about her condition. However, her message has since attracted an outpouring of support from fans, who have flooded social media with prayers and well wishes for her speedy recovery.
