JAMB Warns Candidates to Verify Admission on CAPS Before Accepting
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a stern warning to prospective tertiary institution candidates across Nigeria against accepting admission offers processed outside its official Central Admissions Processing System.
Speaking through its official public awareness initiative, JAMB Explained, the Board emphasized that any admission granted by an institution outside the approved JAMB processing framework is illegal, invalid, and will not be recognized for official matriculation.
JAMB cautioned that backdoor or unvalidated school offers put students’ academic journeys at severe risk. Candidates who accept illegal admissions face future record complications, potential disqualification from National Youth Service Corps mobilization, and institutional fraud.
To safeguard their academic futures, admission seekers are urged to log into the official JAMB e-Facility portal and verify their status strictly on CAPS before accepting any offer. The Board reiterated that only admission offers validated and backed by an official JAMB admission letter remain legally binding under Nigerian education standards.
