Popular Nigerian comedian, actor, and content creator Samuel Animashaun Perry, widely known as Broda Shaggi, has officially broken his months-long silence, opening up about a life-threatening incident that sidelined him from the entertainment industry.
In a tell-all documentary titled “Second Chance (The Story)” released on his official YouTube channel, the multi-talented entertainer revealed how he survived being hit by a stray bullet in March 2026.
Recounting the terrifying ordeal, Broda Shaggi shared that the incident occurred on March 9, 2026, while returning from a brand activation project. While stuck in traffic, a sudden loud bang echoed, leaving him with a gunshot wound near his hip.
He was immediately rushed to an emergency facility in Lagos, where medical personnel administered initial treatment before performing his first emergency surgery.
However, after struggling with severe mobility issues in his injured leg during early recovery, the comedian was flown abroad to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where he underwent specialized hip replacement surgery.
Broda Shaggi disclosed that although he is still using crutches for support, he can now stand and walk independently.
