Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori Celebrates 56th Birthday With Elderly in Ozoro
The Wife of the Delta State Governor and Founder of the You Matter Charity Foundation, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, on Thursday marked her 56th birthday with elderly citizens and other vulnerable groups across Delta State, reaffirming her commitment to compassion-driven leadership and inclusive social care.
The First Lady celebrated with the elderly in Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area, where she expressed gratitude to God for the gift of life and fulfilled a personal promise she made in 2024 to always mark her birthday with senior citizens. She described the elderly as custodians of wisdom and pillars of families and communities whose lives continue to reflect strength and resilience.
“It is with great joy and heartfelt gratitude to God that I celebrate my 56th birthday with you today,” Deaconess Oborevwori said. “Each time I see you, I behold God’s beauty in creation. Your strength and resilience inspire me, and I remain committed to supporting your welfare in every way possible.”

She disclosed that food items and essential supplies were distributed to beneficiaries at the Ozoro centre, while similar birthday outreaches were held simultaneously in four other locations for widows, orphans, and persons with disabilities. She described the initiative as “a full package of love and care.”
The First Lady also used the occasion to solicit prayers for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and Delta State, expressing optimism that the dividends of democracy would continue to reach all communities.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area, Hon. Godwin Ogorugba, praised Deaconess Oborevwori for her humanitarian impact and deep connection to her roots, describing her as “a true and worthy daughter of Isoko Nation.” He noted that her commitment to women, children, and vulnerable groups has strengthened families, restored hope, and reinforced inclusive leadership in the state.
Also speaking, APC chieftain, Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay, described the First Lady as a prayerful wife and compassionate leader whose humanitarian interventions continue to uplift vulnerable populations across Delta State.
The Queen of Uzoro Kingdom, Queen Ofejiro Ogbogbo, described the birthday visit as historic and a great honour to Isoko Nation. She commended Deaconess Oborevwori for her support for the Governor, promotion of unity, and dedication to women empowerment.
The birthday outreach was held concurrently in Issele-Uku for persons with disabilities, Sapele for orphans, and Bomadi and Isiokolo in Ethiope East for widows. The events featured prayers, goodwill messages, and the distribution of relief materials, as beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the First Lady’s kindness and commitment to improving lives.
