Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm congratulations to the Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty, Asagba Prof. Epiphany Chigbogu Azinge, SAN, OON, as he marks his second coronation anniversary on the ancestral throne.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, on Monday, Governor Oborevwori described the milestone as an auspicious occasion to celebrate the traditional ruler’s immense contributions to peace, unity, and socio-economic development across the Asaba Kingdom and Delta State at large.
Joining the royal family, the Asagba-in-Council, traditional rulers, and the good people of Asaba in celebrating the anniversary, Governor Oborevwori noted that the monarch’s reign has brought incredible progress to the state capital since his ascension to the stool two years ago.
The governor highlighted that Asagba Azinge’s distinguished background as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), legal luminary, and accomplished administrator has enriched traditional governance in the state capital.
“The Asagba’s background as a distinguished Professor of Law, jurist, and administrator has brought valuable experience to the leadership of the kingdom. His reign continues to inspire hope, progress, and a renewed sense of pride among the people of Asaba,” Oborevwori stated.
Concluding his message, Governor Oborevwori prayed that God would continue to bless the royal father with divine wisdom, sound health, and long life to guide the Asaba Kingdom toward even greater peaceful coexistence and state development.
