Delta Govt Unveils Free Skill Acquisition Workshop with EV Automobiles in Asaba, Warri

The Delta State Government has partnered with EV Automobiles Limited to organize a practical Skill Acquisition and Empowerment Workshop aimed at equipping residents with technical competencies in electric mobility and sustainable transportation.

Unveiled following a joint strategic meeting led by the Commissioner for Transport, Mr. Onoriode Agofure, and the Commissioner for Science and Technology, Dr. Daniel Odinigwe Odigie, the initiative focuses on empowering youths, artisans, and members of the Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association (NATA).

Participants will undergo hands-on technical training covering maintenance, diagnostic operations, and career pathways in the rapidly expanding clean-energy automotive sector. The workshop will take place across Asaba and Warri on the following schedule:

Asaba Session: October 2–3, 2026 | Press Center, Government House, Infant Jesus Road, Asaba

Warri Session: October 6–7, 2026 | Unity Hall, Government House Annex, Edjeba, Warri

Daily Schedule: On-site registration begins at 8:30 AM

The Delta State Directorate of Transport confirmed that online registration is currently open, with physical registration also available at both venues. Eligible youths, mechanics, and technicians across the state are encouraged to take advantage of the free training to upgrade their skill sets.
