Abala Monarch Advocates Peace For Development


… Hails Governor Okowa, Police CP over Improved Security.

Indigenes of Abala Kingdom in Ndokwa East Local Government Area have been charged to embrace peace and tranquility in order to encourage the inflow of development to the community.

Speaking to our correspondent, in his residence in Asaba, the Igwe of Abala Kingdom, HRH, Obi Frederick Egbunkeoye, said that the presence of chaos and crisis in the community will only hinder Government’s infrastructural development in the community.

Obi Egbunkonye disclosed that the case of the illegal installation of an Obi in the community have been handled by the police security, adding that there was no cause for alarm as the law will take its full cause.

He, however, commended the Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa and the new Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Muhammad Mustafa over the excellent working relationship and synergy between them which have contributed immensely towards enhancing peace and security in the state.

According to him, “Governor Ifeanyichukwu Okowa has through his actions and programmes in nearly three years as governor of this great state, proven beyond doubt that he is a humble, Godly and visionary leader who governs with the wisdom of Solomon and dynamism of David. He has shown that he is reliable and consistent. He accords security the priority it deserves. I commend him and his cabinet.”

The Monarch stated his readiness to join hands with all stakeholders to ensure that peace and harmony are maintained in his domain and the neighbouring communities. “We are a border clan between Ndokwa East and Oshimili South Local Government Areas and by that location our land is very strategic. We are very close to the state capital, Asaba, but the only thing that separates us and the capital is our difficult and swampy terrain.

“We will continue to seek intervention to open up our area. We will continue to work round the clock to ensure peace and security in my domain. We will always work together with the government and our neighbours for order and harmony to prevail,” he stated.
