Full List: FG Approved Textbooks for Primary 1, 4, JSS 1, SS 1 for 2026–2028 Session

The Federal Ministry of Education has officially released the final list of ranked and approved textbooks for Nigerian schools covering the 2026–2028 academic cycle.

Announced by the Ministry’s Director of Press and Public Relations, Boriowo Folasade, the Phase 1 release covers core subjects for Primary 1, Primary 4, Junior Secondary School 1 (JSS 1), and Senior Secondary School 1 (SS 1).

To curb piracy, fake publications, and unapproved instructional materials, the Ministry introduced mandatory QR Tracking Codes for every approved book title. Each listing includes the official book title, author, publisher, publication year, and tracking code to verify authenticity.

The national ranking exercise was executed under the leadership of the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, CON, alongside the Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaiba Sa’id Ahmad.
