Actor Yemi Solade Says He Was Paid to Act as Cripple for Church Miracle
Veteran Nollywood actor Yemi Solade has revealed that he was once paid to act as a cripple in an alleged staged church miracle while he was still a student.
Solade made the disclosure in a recent interview with Feel Right News TV, recalling that he was recruited for the act before he became popular in Nollywood.
“I have been used for miracle then, when I was not popular. I acted as a cripple, they paid, I used the money to drink then I was a student.”
The actor said he was paid to pretend to have a physical disability during the church service and later spent the money on drinks.
Solade declined to name those allegedly involved, saying they are still alive.
“The people involved are still alive; I don’t just want to mention names,” he said.
The revelation has drawn attention to his account of staged miracles and comes shortly after the actor spoke about his decision to stop attending church services.
Solade said he has not attended church for 13 years but remains a believer in God.
