Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo Launches Christian Matchmaking Platform
Relationship coach and lead pastor of David’s Christian Centre, Kingsley Okonkwo, has launched a Christian matchmaking and marriage-preparation platform, Mentor To Marry, for singles seeking intentional, faith-based relationships.
Okonkwo announced the platform in a series of posts on X, describing it as a guided community designed to help serious Christian singles connect with potential partners while preparing for marriage.
The platform offers three annual membership categories: Regular at ₦70,000, Premium at ₦350,000 and VIP at ₦700,000.
The Regular plan includes eight weeks of mentoring classes, assessments, surveys, limited profile access and an accountability system. The Premium package adds unlimited profile browsing, monthly recommendations, access to global profiles and private groups.
The ₦700,000 VIP package offers additional services, including a dedicated matchmaker and coach, priority access to the platform’s founders, 15 weekly chats, off-platform introductions, profile protection and access to global profiles.
According to the platform, members undergo eight weeks of mentoring, assessments and guided reflection before matchmaking recommendations and introductions are made. It also states that membership does not guarantee a match, mutual interest or marriage.
Okonkwo said the initiative was created against the backdrop of what he described as the increasing commercialisation of relationships and the difficulty some men face in finding genuine partners.
He wrote, “I feel for the men of this generation….relationships have been so commercialized nowadays that its almost impossible for a young man to find true love.”
In another post, he said, “When we were young, all you had to get was a girls phone number but now all they want to send is their account number, now you are expected to pay rent, school fees and transport before you are taken seriously.”
However, Okonkwo clarified that the platform was not based on the assumption that all women seek relationships for financial reasons.
“I can assure you that not all women are in relationship for business, there are a lot of good women looking to connect with serious godly men on our platform,” he wrote.
Mentor To Marry is open to Christians aged 25 and above who are unmarried, divorced or widowed. The platform says members must identify as Christians and provide truthful information about their identity and marital status.
The service is operated by Love, Dating and Marriage Ministries, which the platform describes as a Nigerian non-profit organisation. It also prohibits sexual harassment, exploitation, fraud, catfishing, sexually explicit content and financial exploitation.
The launch has generated discussion online, particularly over the cost of the VIP membership, while the platform maintains that its focus is on marriage preparation, accountability and faith-based matchmaking rather than casual dating.
