Diddy Combs’ Release Date Moved Again After Reported Prison Fight

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ projected prison release date has been revised once again following reports that the music mogul was involved in a physical altercation with another inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Fort Dix in New Jersey.

According to updated records from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons, Combs is now scheduled for release on January 24, 2028, approximately one month earlier than his previous projected release date of February 23, 2028. The latest adjustment marks the fifth reported change to his projected release date since he began serving his sentence.

The release date update comes days after reports emerged that Combs was placed in solitary confinement following a confrontation with another inmate. Media reports claimed the dispute began after the inmate allegedly insulted the rapper before the situation escalated into a fight that was quickly stopped by prison staff. Federal prison officials declined to comment on the incident, citing privacy and security policies.

Combs is serving a 50-month federal prison sentence after being convicted on two counts related to transporting individuals for prostitution. He was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges in 2025. His legal team is continuing efforts to challenge aspects of his conviction and sentence.

Although the Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed the updated projected release date, officials have not publicly stated whether the prison altercation influenced the latest adjustment.
