2027: Oborevwori Mobilises Political Appointees to Drive MORE Agenda to Grassroots

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has charged political leaders, aides, and supporters to aggressively market the achievements of his administration’s M.O.R.E Agenda to citizens at the grassroots level.

Speaking at a strategic one-day seminar for Special Assistants, Senior Special Assistants, and Executive Assistants in Asaba, Oborevwori urged political appointees to communicate government milestones using verifiable facts, figures, and tangible project results.

Represented by the Chief of Staff, Government House, Sir Johnson Erijo, the governor stressed that the 2027 elections should be viewed as an opportunity to consolidate progress, sustain political stability, and protect ongoing developmental initiatives.

“We promised MORE, and our record speaks for itself,” Oborevwori declared, citing major investments in road networks, urban renewal, healthcare, education, youth empowerment, and regional security. He added that Delta’s strategic alignment with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda continues to yield expanding opportunities for the state.

The convener and Senior Political Adviser to the Governor, Senator Emmanuel Aguariavwodo, instructed appointees to move beyond routine announcements. He urged them to break down policy achievements into clear, relatable terms that ordinary citizens can easily see and understand in their communities.

The workshop featured keynote addresses from Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo, Prof. Akpovughaye Taiga, and Maxwell Idama Omamuyo, establishing a unified roadmap for ward-level mobilization across Delta State.
