2027: FOOG Women Support Group Assures Tinubu, Oborevwori of Massive Backing
A political pressure group under the aegis of the FOOG Women Support Group (FWSG) has pledged massive grassroots mobilization and overwhelming women participation in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Convener of the group, Chief (Mrs.) Esther Ori Okotie-Eboh, popularly known as the Iye of Warri Kingdom, gave the assurance during a media chat in Warri while celebrating her birthday alongside members of her support group.
Chief (Mrs.) Okotie-Eboh described both President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori as visionary leaders with clear missions that have brought renewed hope and transformation to Nigerians both at home and abroad.
“President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori have demonstrated commitment to rebuilding our economy, empowering citizens, and promoting peace and unity. As women, we stand firmly with them and will ensure our voices and votes count in 2027,” she declared.
According to the FOOG Women Support Group Convener, the organization has strategic plans across all senatorial districts and local government areas in Delta State to mobilize women and young voters—particularly every female above 18 years—to campaign and canvass support for both leaders.
She emphasized that women’s involvement in politics remains vital to democratic progress, stressing that the FWSG is determined to drive inclusive participation and nationwide awareness ahead of the polls.
“We are mobilizing women not just to vote but to participate actively in governance, leadership, and community transformation,” she added.
Chief (Mrs.) Okotie-Eboh also extended heartfelt congratulations to President Bola Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, and all Nigerians on the occasion of the country’s 65th Independence Anniversary.
She described the celebration as a moment of sober reflection and renewed commitment to nation-building, urging citizens to remain hopeful and resilient despite challenges.
“As we celebrate 65 years of independence, we must reflect on our progress and continue to nurture hope. The journey has not been without hurdles, but together, we can build a brighter future for all Nigerians,” she stated.
Chief Okotie-Eboh reaffirmed her group’s loyalty to the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration and the MORE Agenda of Governor Oborevwori, noting that both policies have laid the foundation for lasting socio-economic transformation.
