COVID-19: Osanebi Donates Food Items, Cash Worth Over 50 Millions Naria On Constituents


The Member Representing Ndokwa East Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Friday Osanebi, on Wednesday, March 30, 2020, again, shocked his constituents with presentation of cash and food items worth over fifty million naira to cushion the effect of Covid-19 war ravaging the world.

Rt Hon Osanebi while presenting the items which include, 650 bags of rice, 600 cartons of noodles, 250 cartons of groundnut oil, 500 cartons of tin of Tomatoes, other food items, detergents and Ten million naira cash, said there were to be distributed to all communities in Ndokwa East Constituency.

The Lawmaker also opened his fish lake, one of the largest in the Niger Delta region to the constituents for free fishes.

Osanebi Food Items for Covid-19

Osanebi who is the immediate past Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, said two weeks stay at home order declared by the state government as part of measures to control the spread of Covid-19 was a long period of time, noting that the situation calls for piratical support.

Stressing that the cash and food items would help see to the survival of the people, the Lawmaker stated “I have ordered my staff working in the lake to start heaping fishes and harvest more as constituents are expected to get free fishes as they come so they can have more than enough within the two weeks of no movement.

Handing over the items to different group leaders of over forty clans and ten federal wards of Ndokwa East, Osanebi noted “these items are to consolidate on my earlier gestures to enhance the comfort of my people of Ndokwa East in this trying period of our times. I know they can not be at home without food. These items are additions to what they have been able to provide in their various homes. I appealed to all to be peaceful and law abiding all through this trying times”, Osanebi stated.

The Ndokwa East legislator also appealed to the constituents to obey the Sit At Home order by which commences on 1st April 2020 and to make use of protective materials against Covid-19 earlier presented to them, saying “Let me remind you of the need to happily observe the seat at home order of the state government. We shall get over this challenges in a very near future.

Rt Hon Osanebi commended the efforts of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa towards wading off the dreaded Corona virus out of Delta State.

The beneficiaries thanked Osanebi for remembering them in this trying time, describing the gesture as expected as he always willing to give.
