PDP Chieftain, Torru Lauds Governor Okowa at 59

The South-South women leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta state on Education Monitoring, Mrs. Tessy Torru has congratulated His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa on his 59th birthday.

On behalf of the good women of the Peoples Democratic Party in Delta state, Mrs Tessy Torru acknowledged Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa for giving privilege to women to serve and contribute in his administration and availing them the opportunity to showcase their prowess.

While describing him as a peace loving, and gender friendly Governor whose devotion to the cause of the State and Nation is legendary.

She said, “Govenor Ifeanyi Okowa is a thorough Democrat and a leader, at 59 we are celebrating a true leader and a workaholic Governor with a positive scorecard. Women, widows and Deltans in general have felt his impacts through various Empowerment Programmes, it’s on record that Deltans are happy with the level of transformation through the numerous projects he is carrying out in the state.

“We are proud of his success stories and we will continue to value his courage in ongoing efforts to making sure that Delta State becomes one of the most developed states in Nigeria. On the occasion of His 59th birthday, I pray that God should continue to bless him with good health, long life and more wisdom to pilot the affairs of our dear state”.

She further commended women in the state for immensely supporting the programmes of Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa while urging them to continue to support the Governor’s second term bid.
