Keep Hope Alive, Ogboru Urges Delta APC, Revalidates His Membership

The candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the March 2019 Delta state governorship election, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru on Thursday, March 4, 2021, urged all party faithful across the state to keep hope alive.

Ogboru made this statement in his country home, Abraka, Ethiope East local government area of Delta State when the revalidation and registration team led by its Chairman, Surveyor Abiodun Aluko from Asaba came to register him and his wife in the ongoing APC membership revalidation and registration exercise.

He stated that there has been rumour of him decamping from the APC, but noted that with his revalidation exercise alongside with his wife and followers, it is now clear that he is still very much in the party and urged party faithful to take the exercise serious.

He revealed that the leadership of the party deemed it necessary to carry out the revalidation and registration exercise, so that the reward system of the party will go down well with members who have worked for the party for the past and have nothing to show for it.

“I know as a party, we have not been too fair to ourselves especially in the reward system, and that is why the leadership of the party has decided to embarked on this exercise, and it is on the strength of that commitment that am revalidating my membership”.

According to him, “Mr. President has even said that the party we all belong must go back to the people and that gone are the days when decisions are made in Abuja by one person, it is time the people decide who become their leaders”.
