Delta EXCO Approves Establishment of New Secondary School in Asaba


… Approves Renovation of 107 Primary Health Care Centres.

Following the yearnings of the Deltans resident in the State capital for the creation of more schools to cater for the increasing population of children in the metropolitan city, the Delta State Executive Council (EXCO) has approved the establishment of a new Secondary school in Asaba.

This was one of the decisions taken on Tuesday June 12, 2018 during the State Executive Council meeting held at the EXCO chamber, Government House, Asaba,

The state Commissioner for Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah, speaking after the meeting, revealed that the EXCO gave it’s nod to the establishment of Oduke Secondary School, Asaba, to take care of the educational needs of people living within the area.

The information Commissioner further announced that the State government has approved the renovation of 107 Primary Health Care Centres operating the Contributory Health Scheme in the state.

He stated that the approval was in tandem with the determination of the state government to continue to give Deltans dividends of democracy by bringing health care services to the people.

Ukah further informed that, the reactivation of Airfield Ground Lightning Systems at the Asaba International Airport and the renovation of the existing transformer-powered street lights in Warri and Effurun metropolis were approved.

Also approved was the installation of 200 Watts LED street lights from Amukpe/NTA roundabout to Total Filling Station at Okirighwre junction, Sapele.
