Delta APC Warns Mischief Makers Over Smear Campaign Against DSP Senator Ovie Omo-Agege


… charges them to stop living in self delusion.

The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has issued a stern warning to one Benafa Preyeme Prince who investigation reveals to be a habitual purveyor of fake news and smear campaigns targeted at esteem personalities upon being contracted by mischief makers.

The party described Benafa Preyeme as a youngman with suspected traits of bipolar disorder syndrome hence could fabricate a story meant to cause disaffection among party leaders and intentionally impugn on the soaring profile and reputation of the party leader His Excellency, distinguished Senator Ovie Omo-Agege with the sole objective of implementing the script which may have been handed over to him, by his pay masters.

The party spoke through its Director of Communication Otunba Nick Ovuakporie in what it described as a highly provocative and poorly worded script in circulation, accusing the Deputy President of the Senate, His Excellency, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege of “disgracing the Chairman of the party in Delta North Senatorial district, Chief George Okafor when he visited him in his Orogun country home alongside leaders from Delta North Senatorial district”, a story that is vexatious and laced with falsehood as same only exist in the figment of the writer’s imagination.

The party stressed that the conduct of the said Benafa Preyeme who is obviously a harbinger of fake news arising from his conduct, falls short of good moral upbringing expected from a youngman of his age, wondering his real intentions for carrying out the immodest act.

The party debunks the said misleading statement and state in unambiguous terms, that there was no such encounter or meeting between the leader of the party who has been strictly observing the regulations of government on social distancing, and Chief George Okafor who was reported by the said Benafa of leading a party delegation considering the fact, that the entire country is on lockdown occasioned by the rampaging coronavirus outbreak.

The party stressed further, that the DSP was at no time in his country home in Orogun, but have remained in Abuja since the inception of the nationwide lockdown and there was no way, he could have been in two places at same material time to have warranted a meeting in the instant case, as alledged by the said Benafa.

The party urge leaders to always up their games by calling their subordinates to order, whenever they exhibits traits of irresponsibility as failure to exercise such discretions may be viewed as a tacit support for such act of indiscipline.

The party enjoined it’s teeming members across the state to disregard the news as same is the handiwork of a recalcitrant member who have refused to embrace the new wind of political sophistry.
