Annie Confirms 2Baba Split, Cheers On Single Ladies at Headies

Nigerian actress Annie Macaulay publicly confirmed her divorce from music icon 2Baba at the 17th Headies Awards.
On stage with Farooq Oreagba, she introduced herself, initially starting with “Annie Idi” before correcting it to “Annie Macaulay.”
She then sent a shoutout to single ladies, saying “Annie Idi… Oh sorry, Annie Macaulay. Hey, single ladies!” amid audience cheers.
This development comes after Annie’s return to social media in March, where she used her maiden name, Annie Uwana Macaulay, dropping the Idibia surname.
The couple’s separation was announced by 2Baba in January 2025, and they share two children. Since then, 2Baba has proposed to Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru and introduced her to his family, sparking wedding rumors.
