Enemies at Work: Tompolo Disowns Viral Publication on Nnamdi Kanu
Former Niger Delta militant leader and Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has dissociated himself from a viral publication circulating on social media linking him to comments about IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
In a statement issued on Sunday by his media consultant, Dr. Paul Bebenimibo, Tompolo described the report as fake and malicious, alleging that it was the handiwork of individuals seeking to discredit him and undermine his ongoing efforts to combat illegal oil activities in the Niger Delta region.
“We wish to state unequivocally and unambiguously that Tompolo did not author the said publication. High Chief Ekpemupolo has nothing to do with the issue of Nnamdi Kanu,” the statement read.
The ex-militant leader noted that his detractors were attempting to tarnish his image because of his strong stance against oil theft and other criminal activities threatening the nation’s economy.
“These set of people have failed and will continue to fail because he will not relent in carrying out his duty to totally eradicate illegal oil activities in the region,” Bebenimibo added.
Reaffirming his loyalty to the Federal Government, Tompolo pledged continued support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Renewed Hope Agenda, commending the administration’s commitment to national security and economic recovery.
He also reiterated his endorsement of President Tinubu for a second term, assuring that he remains firmly aligned with the government’s development vision.
“Once again, the Federal Government and the general public should ignore the said publication,” the statement concluded.
