Step-by-Step Guide: How to Check 2025 WAEC WASSCE Results Online and via SMS
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the release of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results for school candidates.
In a statement posted via its official X handle (formerly Twitter) on Monday, August 4, WAEC confirmed that the results are now accessible to all candidates online.
Candidates who sat for the 2025 WASSCE can access their results using either the official WAEC portal or via SMS.
Here’s how;
Online Method (via WAEC Result Checker Portal)
- Visit: www.waecdirect.org
2. Enter your WAEC Examination Number
3. Format: 7-digit centre number + 3-digit candidate number (e.g. 4250101001)
4. For exams before 1999: use your 5-digit centre number + 3-digit candidate number
5. Select your Examination Year (e.g. 2025)
6. Choose your Examination Type (e.g. School Candidate)
7. Enter your e-PIN Voucher Number
8. Input the Personal Identification Number (PIN) from the e-PIN
9. Click Submit to view your result
SMS Method (For MTN, Airtel, and Glo users only)
- Send an SMS using this format:
2. WAEC, ExamNumber, PIN Exam, Year
3. Send to 32327
(Example: WAEC42501010011234567890122025)
4. Ensure there are no spaces in the message
5. SMS costs ₦30
5. Wait for a reply with your result details
