The Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, on Saturday lauded the peaceful conduct of the Council Polls.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after casting his vote at State Ward 6, Osubi, Okpe Local Government Area of the State, Rt Hon Oborevwori described the election in the area as very peaceful.
According to him, he was impressed with the massive turnout of voters for the exercise.
Describing Osubi as the strong hold of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), the Speaker commended the electorate for their peaceful conduct.
He said that, “I am highly impressed with the peaceful conduct of the local government election; it was not short of my expectations”.
