AFCON 2025: CAF Condemns Misconduct in Morocco vs Senegal Final
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has condemned the unacceptable behaviour of certain players and officials during the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 Final between Morocco and Senegal in Rabat.
“CAF strongly condemns any inappropriate behaviour which occurs during matches, especially those targeting the refereeing team or match organizers,” the continental body said in a statement.
CAF added that it is reviewing all match footage and will refer the matter to competent authorities to ensure appropriate action is taken against individuals found guilty.
The incident casts a shadow over what was otherwise a historic final, and CAF has vowed to uphold standards of professionalism and respect during all tournament matches.
