BREAKING: Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Appears in Court for Second Arraignment
Suspended senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, appeared before the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday for her second arraignment over alleged defamation of Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Kogi State governor Yahaya Bello.
According to a report by PUNCH, Akpoti-Uduaghan was accompanied to the court by her husband, Emmanuel Uduaghan, renowned human rights activist Aisha Yesufu, and a group of supporters who turned out in solidarity.
The case is scheduled to be heard before Justice Mohammed Umar.
This appearance marks her second arraignment on similar charges. The lawmaker was first arraigned on June 19, 2025, at the Federal Capital Territory High Court, also in Abuja.
At the previous hearing, the trial judge had declined a request by the Federal Government to issue a bench warrant against the senator for her absence in court.
