Ukwuani 2019: Ochor Declares Intention to Run For House of Assembly


The Executive Director, Social Services Development, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Hon Christopher Ochor Ochor, have declared his intention, on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to represent the Ukwuani Constituency, as a member of the Delta State House of Assembly.

Hon Ochor made his intentions known when he embarked on consultation visits to the nine wards in the Local Government Area, where he solicited for the peoples support.

Addressing party faithfuls at the various wards, he said the need to consult from the grassroots cannot be over emphasized hence his decision to  start from the wards, as he solicited support from the ward members ahead of the PDP primaries, adding that his intention to contest the Ukwuani House of Assembly seat is born out of the desire to continue  to contribute his quota to the growth and development of Ukwuani land with youths and women as his focal point of interest.

For their part, the PDP ward chairmen who spoke, including Mr. Sunday Olomor, Mr. Ewenlem Macaulay, and Mr. Felix Osuya, commended him on the visit which they said was like coming back home for the DESOPADEC Director.

They hailed him as a frontline pillar and fundamental PDP grassroots member that had been tested and can be trusted, judging from his antecedents with regards to his level of performance as both an appointed and elected government office holder in the past and present political dispensations.

They assured Hon Ochor of their support which they said will also be extended to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa come 2019.
