BREAKING: President Tinubu Directs Construction of New APC National Headquarters
President Bola Tinubu has ordered the immediate commencement of plans to construct a new, befitting national headquarters for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja.
Speaking during a high-level engagement with party stakeholders, Tinubu emphasized the need for the APC to reflect its status as the ruling party not only in ideology but also in infrastructure. “We cannot continue to operate from a rented building,” the President declared. “It is not befitting of a ruling party.”
He directed the APC National Working Committee, Progressive Governors, and the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, to immediately form a committee that will identify a suitable parcel of land and oversee the construction of the new edifice.
According to Tinubu, the new headquarters should symbolize the party’s unity, resilience, and commitment to Nigeria’s progress, noting that the APC must build institutions that outlive individuals.
The directive signals a renewed focus on strengthening party structures and projecting institutional pride as the APC prepares for future electoral cycles.
