ANEC2018: Nigerian Guild of Editors Converge In Asaba For 14th Delegates Conference

Members of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) have started arriving Asaba the Delta State Capital for the 14th Delegate Conference which begins today Wednesday 10 to Sunday 14th October 2018.

A statement signed by the State Commissioner for Information, Mr Patrick Ukah said that the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and other state governors are expected to attend the Conference on Thursday October 11, 2018, which will be declared open by the State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.

The statement further said that on Friday October 12, 2018, Governor Okowa of Delta State will lead the Governors of Edo, Anambra, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Bayelsa, Sokoto, Gombe, Lagos, Bauchi, Kano, Katsina and Enugu state during the Executive Session to address members of NGE on the achievements of their various governments and expectations.

Meanwhile, the editors led by its president, Funke Egbemode today paid a courtesy call on Governor Okowa at Government House, Asaba in line with the tradition of the NGE Conference.

According to the itinerary of the Conference, participants will embark on tour of projects in the three senatorial districts of Delta State on Saturday October 13, 2018 and will climax in the evening with a gala nite.
