JAMB Adjusts UTME 2026 First Session Time, Arrival Now 7:00am

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a slight adjustment to the arrival time for candidates sitting the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

In an update shared via its official X page, the examination body stated:
“Attention 2026 UTME Candidates: This is to notify you of a slight adjustment to the arrival scheduled time, particularly for the first session, which is now 7:00am as against the earlier published 6:30am, while the scheduled start time for the session is now 8:30 am and end time 10:30 am. Please note that you need not reprint your slip. Thank you”

According to JAMB, the adjustment affects only the arrival time for the first session, which has been moved from 6:30am to 7:00am. The examination itself will still commence at 8:30am and end at 10:30am as earlier scheduled.

Candidates have also been advised that there is no need to reprint their examination slips following the update.

The notice is expected to provide clarity and ease for candidates preparing for the nationwide examination, while ensuring a smoother coordination of the first session across centres.
