Body of Girl Allegedly Raped by Odogwu of Asaba Exhumed for Autopsy

The body of Favour Agbro, the 20-year-old woman whose death sparked widespread outrage in Delta State, has been exhumed for an autopsy as police intensify investigations into allegations involving content creator Ifeanyi Ogbonna, popularly known as ‘Odogwu of Asaba.’

The exhumation was carried out on July 28 in the presence of investigators, medical pathologists and representatives of all parties connected to the case. The autopsy is expected to help establish the medical circumstances surrounding Agbro’s death and provide forensic evidence for the ongoing investigation.

The development comes weeks after the Delta State Police Command arrested Ogbonna over allegations that he sexually assaulted Agbro before she later died. Police had earlier confirmed that the suspect remained in custody and would be charged to court as investigations progressed.

Human rights activist Israel Joe, who has been following the case, disclosed that investigators also obtained medical records from hospitals where Agbro reportedly received treatment before her death, describing the autopsy as a crucial step in uncovering the truth.
