DHL Launches Cheaper Domestic Delivery Service in Nigeria

DHL Express has launched Domestic Select, a new delivery service designed to provide businesses and individuals with a more affordable and flexible option for sending less urgent parcels across Nigeria.

The service, launched in Lagos on September 9, is aimed at meeting the growing logistics needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), online retailers, entrepreneurs and individuals as domestic trade and e-commerce expand.

Domestic Select is an addition to DHL Express’ existing product range and gives customers an alternative for shipments where speed is less critical. It is expected to help businesses fulfil orders, reach customers in other parts of the country and expand into new markets without relying on more urgent delivery options.

Muyiwa Adeseyoju, Country Manager, DHL Express Nigeria, said reliable logistics had become increasingly important to business growth and customer satisfaction.

He added that the new service would give customers more choice while maintaining reliability.

“Businesses today need delivery solutions that are dependable, accessible, and cost-effective. Domestic Select gives customers more flexibility and choice for their less urgent shipments without compromising on reliability,” he said.

Adeseyoju said the service would combine DHL’s existing network and expertise with a solution tailored to the Nigerian market.

DHL said Domestic Select would support businesses seeking to serve customers beyond their immediate locations while giving individuals a convenient option for sending parcels to family and other recipients within Nigeria.
