Delta Govt Starts 2024/2025 Bursary Payments for Students

The Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board has announced the commencement of payment for the 2024/2025 Students Special Assistance Scheme (Bursary Award) to eligible indigenes of Delta State studying in tertiary institutions across the country.

The development comes weeks after the Board disclosed that payment under the scheme would begin on March 10, 2026, following the completion of registration and verification by qualified applicants.

According to the Board, the disbursement is strictly for students who successfully completed the required registration and verification process during the 2024/2025 bursary exercise.

Speaking on the development, the Executive Secretary of the Board appreciated the Governor of the state, Sheriff Oborevwori, for his continued commitment to student welfare.

He noted that the governor’s support has further strengthened educational development under the administration’s M.O.R.E Agenda.

The Executive Secretary, Dr. Godfrey Enita, also urged beneficiaries to remain dedicated to their academic pursuits.

Students who successfully completed the exercise are expected to begin receiving their payments as the disbursement continues.
