BREAKING: APGA Endorses Tinubu as 2027 Sole Candidate

Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo announced on Thursday that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has officially adopted President Bola Tinubu as its sole candidate for the 2027 presidential election.

The endorsement was declared during President Tinubu’s working visit to Anambra State, held at the Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka. Addressing the gathering, Governor Soludo emphasized a new political synergy between the ruling APC and APGA, saying, “Progressives are working together.”

In addition to the political endorsement, President Tinubu was also honored by the traditional rulers of Anambra State, who conferred on him the prestigious chieftaincy title of ‘Dike Si Mba’ a phrase which translates loosely to “Hero from Another Land.”

The title was presented by Igwe Chidubem Iweka of Obosi, Chairman of the Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council, on behalf of traditional rulers representing all communities across the state.

President Tinubu arrived at Chinua Achebe International Airport in Umueri at about 12:15 p.m., where he was warmly received by Governor Soludo, Deputy Governor Onyeka Ibezim, and other senior government officials.

During his visit, Tinubu inaugurated Anambra State’s first-ever Government House, over 30 years after the creation of the state a landmark project delivered by the Soludo administration. The President also commissioned several other key infrastructure projects undertaken by the state government.

This marks President Tinubu’s second visit to the South-East in 2025, following a previous trip to Enugu State in January.
