WAEC Extends CB-WASSCE Registration Deadline for Private Candidates to Sept 19

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has extended the registration deadline for the Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for private candidates.

The new deadline is now Friday, September 19, 2025, moving it forward from the earlier date of September 5, 2025.

This announcement was made via WAEC’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle. The statement read:

“The registration period for CB-WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2025 Second Series, has been extended to Friday, September 19, 2025. All prospective candidates are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.”

The extension has been welcomed by many candidates, although concerns remain about the transition from manual registration to digital applications for WAEC examinations.
