Majemite, Omuviwe, Odiyomas, Others ask Chief Anirah to Vie for House of Assembly

The Chairperson of Ethiope East Local Government Area, Chief Faith Majemite, Chief Benjamin Omuviwe, Chief Ochuko Odiyoma, Chief Moses Odiyoma and others have asked Chief Felix Anirah, a People’s Democratic Party, PDP Chieftain in Sapele to run for the Delta State House of Assembly, Sapele state constituency.

They made these call separately while chatting with Chief Anirah during the inauguration of Police Community Relation Committee, PCRC, Sapele Area Command, noting that if PDP wants to win Sapele in the 2019 general elections, Anirah remains the best aspirants to give the PDP a landslide victory.

While encouraging Chief Anirah run, Chief Majemite charged PDP leaders in Sapele and across the state to support and encourage Anriah to run for the House of Assembly seat in order to give the party easy victory.

While faulting the claim by one of the leaders present at the event that the position is small for Anirah’s status, the council boss maintain that what is important at this stage is to present a candidate that is acceptable to the people of Sapele and who can win election.

Chief Ochuko and Moses Odiyoma while supporting Majemite’s position stated that it was time people with pedigree and character are elected into power. They therefore urged Sapele people to support chief Anirah if he decides to run because he is a man with a good heart.

The Itsekiri, Igbo, Hausa and Edo indigenes present also threw their weight behind the call for Chief Anirah to run, they promised to support him should he yield to the call by Sapele residents for him to serve them at the State House of Assembly.

Chief Anirah while addressing the Journalists after the event, called on well meaning Nigerians to complement governments’ efforts by supporting security agencies, particularly the Police with logistics and other things that could aid them in effective policing.

He noted that the Nigeria Police are working in very challenging conditions, with inadequate manpower and tools, adding that security is everyone business urging Sapele residents should support the new Police Area Command to give it a facelift.

On the call on him to run for the House of Assembly, Chief Anirah thanked the leaders of Itsekiri, Igbo, Hausa and Edo for their immerse supports, stating that he will consult with party leaders and other stakeholders to decide on what directions to go.

He promised not to disappoint them after the consultation, adding that his life is to the service of the good people of Sapele, Delta and Nigeria in general.
