First Anniversary: Deaconess Oborevwori Thanks Delta Women for Standing by Governor Oborevwori

As part of activities to mark the first anniversary of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration, the First Lady of Delta State and founder of You Matter Charity Foundation, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, hosted various women groups in the state to an appreciation meeting on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at the Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba.

Deaconess Oborevwori, overwhelmed by the support of the women during the campaigns and through the first year of her husband’s administration, appreciated them for trusting and believing in the MORE agenda of the governor.

She commended the immense contributions of cash and various items by the women towards a Food Bank project for the needy, donated to the Living Faith Church, Winners Chapel, Asaba, as part of the one-year Thanksgiving celebration of her husband’s administration.

“It is an honour meeting with women of various groups who contributed to the success of the Food Distribution; I must say I am blessed to have you women around me. I also want to let you know how much your contributions have blessed lives, because of what you did, we were able to put smiles on the faces of Deltans,” she said.

“With the responsibilities given to us as women of Delta State, I am happy that you did not fail; thank you for being doers of the word of God by giving back to society,” Deaconess Oborevwori added.

She further encouraged the women to extend their support for the governor to their husbands, so that the state will be filled with peaceful homes that will foster development across the state.

Deaconess Oborevwori offered the prayers of Deuteronomy 28: 8, 12, and Philippians 4:19 for the women, saying, “I pray that your zeal and love for the people will bring more blessings to you and your household”.
