Burna Boy Releases Eighth Album ‘No Sign of Weakness’,  Featuring Travis Scott, others


Nigerian musician Damini Ogulu, professionally known as Burna Boy, has released his eighth studio album titled No Sign of Weakness.

The 16-track project was released on Friday, July 11, through Spaceship Records, Bad Habit, and Atlantic Records. It includes previously released singles such as Bundle by Bundle, Update, Sweet Love, TaTaTa featuring American rapper Travis Scott, and Change Your Mind featuring Nigerian-American artist Shaboozey.

The album features contributions from Mick Jagger on Empty Chairs and Belgian-Rwandan artist Stromae on Pardon. Aside from Shaboozey, no other Nigerian artists appear on the album.

In an interview with Billboard France, Burna Boy described the album as “extrospective,” explaining that it focuses on growth, understanding, and staying grounded. He said the title reflects his ability to remain resilient through challenges.
“Despite everything that could have ended me, I’ve never shown weakness,” he said.

No Sign of Weakness follows Burna Boy’s 2023 album I Told Them…, which earned two Grammy nominations for City Boys and Sittin’ on Top of the World featuring 21 Savage.

The new album also includes tracks such as No Panic, Come Gimme, Buy You Life, Kabiyesi, 28 Grams, Love, Dem Dey, Born Winner, and the title track No Sign of Weakness.

To support the release, Burna Boy will perform at Afro Nation Portugal, where he is expected to debut songs from the new album. He will also embark on a North American tour starting in November at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, becoming the first Nigerian artist to headline the venue.

The tour will cover cities including Los Angeles, Houston, Chicago, Boston, and Atlanta, and will conclude with two shows at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on December 17 and 18. A European leg is also planned, with a headline performance scheduled at the Stade de France in Paris.

Since his 2013 debut album L.I.F.E, Burna Boy has released several projects including On a Spaceship (2015), Outside (2018), African Giant (2019), Twice As Tall (2020), Love, Damini (2022), and I Told Them… (2023).
