Omonigho Oborevwori Launches Delta Youth Carnival, Records Over 5,000 Attendees
The first daughter of Delta State Governor, Omonigho Oborevwori, has set a new pace for youth engagement in the state with the successful hosting of the maiden edition of the Delta Youth Carnival.
The colourful carnival, organised through her foundation, Ruby Awareness Initiative Foundation (RAIF), lit up the Trade Fair Arena, Osubi, in Okpe Local Government Area on December 29, 2025, drawing over 5,000 youths and fun-seekers from across Delta State.
Blending entertainment, education, enlightenment, and advocacy, the Delta Youth Carnival emerged as one of the standout youth-centric events of the yuletide season, transforming the venue into a vibrant hub of music, culture, and youthful energy.
Speaking at the event, the convener of the carnival and founder of RAIF, Omonigho Oborevwori, described the initiative as part of her commitment to uniting Delta youths through positive social experiences while promoting awareness, inclusion, and a shared sense of identity.

She noted that the carnival was designed not just for fun, but also as a platform to inspire, educate, and empower young people, encouraging them to embrace healthy lifestyles, civic responsibility, and community engagement.
The event featured a rich mix of activities, including live music performances, dance showcases, comedy skits, health talks, PVC sensitisation, and several interactive sessions that kept the crowd fully engaged throughout the day and night.
Entertainment lovers were thrilled by electrifying performances from top Nigerian stars such as Erigga, Boy Spyce, Berri-Tiga, Harrysong, Alternate Sound, Deacon Famous, DJ Switchy, Perezz, Destalker, and the Wao Factor Dance Group, among others, as the carnival atmosphere stretched into the early hours of the following day.
With its massive turnout and high-energy performances, the Delta Youth Carnival has set the tone for a new era of youth-focused entertainment and engagement in the state, positioning Omonigho Oborevwori and RAIF as strong advocates for youth inclusion, creativity, and empowerment.
