Asaba indigenes in the diaspora have pledged their continued support for the 14th Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty, Prof. Epiphany Azinge, SAN, OON, following what they described as his visionary, transparent, and people-centred leadership.

The President-General of the Asaba National Association (ANA), the umbrella body of Asaba indigenes in the United States of America, Engr. Kennedy Okafor, made the pledge while speaking with journalists shortly after the launch of the ₦100 million Asaba Community Security Trust Fund.

According to him, the monarch has demonstrated a high level of transparency and accountability in the management of community resources, with the welfare of Asaba people remaining a top priority under his reign.

He described the Asaba Community Security Trust Fund as timely and commendable, stressing that security is critical to the protection of lives and property and should be regarded as a collective responsibility of all stakeholders.

Engr. Okafor, who donated ₦5 million to the Fund, noted that insecurity had previously discouraged many Asaba indigenes abroad from visiting home. He expressed optimism that the initiative would strengthen community policing and significantly improve security across Asaba Kingdom.
