‘Let Justice Be Fully Served’, Ibusa Ministers React To Killing Of Bishop Chinedu Clarence James


The Ibusa Indigenous Ministers Association (IIMA) has expressed deep sorrow over the gruesome killing of its Deputy Chairman, Bishop Chinedu Clarence James, describing the incident as a painful loss to the Christian community and Delta State at large.

In a press release dated Thursday, May 13, 2026, and jointly signed by Rev. Emmanuel Daniels, Chairman of the association, and Pastor Ike Nwanze, Secretary, the clerics said the unfortunate incident occurred on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, sending shockwaves across Ibusa and surrounding communities.

The association described the late Bishop Chinedu Clarence James as a passionate servant of God, a committed kingdom worker, and a father figure to many people.

“We are saddened by the gruesome murder of our esteemed leader and Deputy Chairman, Bishop Chinedu Clarence James,” the statement read.

“We mourn the departure of a man of great passion for the Gospel and the Kingdom, a father to many.”

Reacting to reports of arrests made in connection with the incident, the ministers described the development as encouraging but called on security agencies to ensure thorough and speedy investigations into the killing.

“The arrest of some suspects is a welcomed development. We call on the security agents and institutions to ensure thorough and speedy investigations. Let justice be fully served,” the association stated.

The body also assured the family, friends, and associates of the late cleric of continued prayers and support during the difficult period.

“May God grant the family the fortitude to bear his departure,” the statement added.
