‘The Champion Has Arrived’ – Wizkid’s Son, Tife, Unveils Debut EP
Wizkid’s first son, Boluwatife Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Tife Balogun, has officially launched his music career with the release of his debut EP titled Champion’s Arrival.
The 14-year-old announced the project on Tuesday via a post on his Instagram page, sharing a video and the caption, “the Champion has arrived. My debut EP Champion’s Arrival is out now on all platforms.”
The post, which quickly gained traction online, attracted thousands of reactions over 45,000 likes and 4,000 comments within hours, as fans and celebrities congratulated the young artiste on his musical debut.
Earlier, on October 28, Tife had teased the project with a short video clip on Instagram, captioned:
“Champion’s Arrival. Videographer: DIKASTUDIOS. Producer: iamhosana_.”
In the teaser, Tife confidently delivered lines that hinted at his determination to make a mark in the music scene, saying:
“Shoutout to the OGs in the game, but it’s time to pass on the baton,” and “I’ve got zero competition.”
The five-track EP features songs such as Champion Montana, Grind, Superstar, Champion Sound, and Champion. It is now available on major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Audiomack, YouTube Music, and Deezer.
Tife’s mother, Shola Ogudu, also expressed pride in her son’s accomplishment, writing:
“Super proud of you SON!!!! We give God all the glory,” while linking the EP in her Instagram bio.
Fans have since flooded social media with praise and curiosity about the young artist’s potential, with some noting his impressive delivery and confidence.
One fan commented, “Abi nah Wizkid write this song? Too mature for Bolu nah. Omo see music. There’s no way this boy, 14, that song ‘Grind’ is crazy.”
