Iyabo Ojo Breaks Silence on Alleged Arrest

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has addressed rumours claiming she was arrested in Abuja, firmly denying the reports and describing them as false and malicious.

The speculation began on Monday after a blogger alleged that Ojo had been detained in connection with new evidence in the ongoing investigation into the death of singer Mohbad.

Speaking during a TikTok live session, Ojo dismissed the claims and expressed frustration at individuals she accused of spreading fake news to generate online traffic and profit.

“I do not know why they keep peddling false rumours about me. To you all rumour mongers that spread fake news about me, it shall not be well with you,” she said. “I am on my way to Abuja now, and you said they arrested me, who did they arrest?”

She added that such false reports not only mislead her fans but also cause unnecessary worry. “You would think you are using my name to make money to better your lives, but instead you are heaping curses on your head because I am a special being. Anyone that wishes me bad, it will go back to the sender,” Ojo said.

Her clarification comes amid heightened online speculation surrounding her alleged involvement in the investigation of Mohbad’s death.
