Guwor Commends Oborevwori on Warri–Sapele–Benin Road Project
The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to Governor Sheriff F. O.
Oborevwori for making the reconstruction of the Warri–Sapele–Benin Dual Carriageway a top development priority.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, following the project’s groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, the Speaker described the road as a critical infrastructure project that would enhance economic activities, improve safety and security, and significantly ease movement for motorists across Delta State.
Rt. Hon. Guwor noted that the Warri–Sapele–Benin Road, which had long been in deplorable condition, had posed severe challenges to commuters and businesses.
He lauded the Governor for not only taking decisive action to reconstruct the road but also for fostering collaboration with the Federal Government to attract more development initiatives to Delta.
The Speaker further highlighted other key infrastructure projects across the state, including the Effurun and Warri flyovers, describing them as proof of Governor Oborevwori’s commitment to transforming Delta’s infrastructure landscape.
He charged contractors handling the Warri–Sapele–Benin Dual Carriageway and other state projects to deliver high-quality work, maintain international standards, and complete projects within the stipulated timeframe.
Rt. Hon. Guwor, who also serves as the National Treasurer of the Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, emphasized that every developmental project undertaken by the state government would enhance Delta’s economic prospects and quality of life.
He assured both the Governor and the people of Delta State that the House of Assembly under his leadership would continue to provide strong legislative support and oversight to ensure the timely and successful completion of all projects.
Reaffirming the legislature’s partnership with the executive arm, Guwor called on Deltans to remain supportive of the “Renewed Hope for More” agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori, urging them to ignore political distractions and focus on unity and progress.
