FAAN Launches Quick Payment Options at Airport Gates

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has unveiled multiple payment channels at access gates to ensure quicker, smoother entry for motorists and passengers alike.

FAAN says the new system will cut waiting times and make entry seamless, especially for frequent travellers and busy airport users. The rollout is part of the authority’s ongoing effort to improve user experience and reduce gate delays at airport terminals nationwide.

The available payment options include:

• FAAN Go Cashless Card: “The fastest and most seamless payment option.” This card is designed to speed up transactions and reduce queues, making entry hassle-free.
• E-Tag: Ideal for frequent users; enables automatic deduction without stopping, perfect for regular travellers who want a quick, uninterrupted access.
• VIP Sticker: For authorised vehicles with approved access, ensuring priority movement for designated units.
• ATM/Debit Card via POS: Available on-site; however, processing time may vary due to banking network issues. This option offers flexibility for occasional users who do not have the other options.

FAAN stressed that these channels are intended to make airport access faster, more efficient, and less stressful, giving travellers more time to focus on their journeys rather than long waits at entry points.
