Why Elders Don’t Advise Gen Z Anymore — DJ Big N

Popular Nigerian celebrity DJ, Big N, has stirred reactions online after sharing his thoughts on the growing disconnect between elders and the younger generation.

Taking to his Instagram story, DJ Big N questioned why older people no longer actively advise youths, suggesting that the realities of today’s world may be difficult for them to relate to.

“YOU NO NOTICE SAY ELDERS NO DEY ADVISE YOUNG ONES ANYMORE. NA BECAUSE THE KAIN THINGS WEY DEM HAPPEN THESE DAYS, DEM NEVER SEE AM BEFORE ,” he wrote.

According to him, the kind of experiences young people face today are significantly different from what previous generations encountered, making it harder for elders to offer guidance.

His comment has since sparked conversations among Nigerians online, with many sharing their views on generational gaps, changing societal values, and the evolving role of mentorship in modern society.
