Delta Speaker Urges New APC Chairman to Promote Unity, Strengthen Democracy

Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria and Speaker of the Delta State Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has extended warm congratulations to the newly elected leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Delta State Chapter for their successful state congress and emergence as members of the State Working Committee.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, Guwor expressed confidence that the Chief Solomon Arenyeka-led executive will further strengthen and consolidate the party’s success in Delta State.

The Speaker noted that the affirmation of the new leadership at the well-attended congress held at the Cenotaph, Asaba, reflects the confidence and trust reposed in them by party faithfuls across the state.

“Leadership comes with both honour and responsibility, and I am confident that the new executive will justify this mandate by promoting unity, strengthening internal democracy, and advancing the collective aspirations of our party faithfuls across Delta State,” Guwor said.

Guwor emphasized the importance of vibrant political parties in deepening democracy and urged the new leadership to prioritize inclusiveness, reconciliation, and collaboration to ensure all stakeholders are carried along.

“Once again, I congratulate the new leadership of our great party on their emergence and wish them a successful and impactful tenure in service to our party and our dear state,” he added.
