Pastor Tobi Adegboyega Reveals He Spends ₦551m Daily, Says ₦14m Goes to Food
Popular UK-based Nigerian pastor and SPAC Nation leader, Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, has sparked fresh reactions after revealing that he spends no less than £300,000 daily, equivalent to about ₦551 million at the stated exchange rate, on bills and other financial obligations.
Adegboyega made the revelation during a livestream with streamer Davrel, who asked the pastor how much he spends on a daily and monthly basis.
According to him, his daily financial obligations include food expenses and financial support for African countries.
“To be honest, nothing less than £300,000. We spend £14,000 daily on food, and I have an obligation to give African countries £5,000 every day,” he said.
The disclosure has generated considerable interest online, particularly over the scale of the spending and the pastor’s explanation of his financial commitments.
‘They Call Us A Cult Because We Are Unified’
Adegboyega also addressed criticism of SPAC Nation and claims by some individuals that the organisation operates like a cult.
Defending the church against the allegations, he argued that critics were uncomfortable with what he described as the unity and financial success of its young members.
He said some of his young followers drive expensive cars similar to his own, arguing that this was unusual compared with what he described as the traditional pattern in some churches where the pastor is wealthy while members remain poor.
Adegboyega said he no longer gets angry when people describe SPAC Nation as a cult, adding that he believes such critics are simply confused by what they see.
The pastor’s latest comments have reignited conversations about wealth, giving and financial practices within religious organisations, as well as the lifestyle of prominent church leaders.
Adegboyega has remained a prominent figure among Nigerian and wider African communities in the UK, particularly through his work with young people.
