Obi Cubana Receives Appointment Letter from Seyi Tinubu
Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has presented prominent businessman Obi Cubana with his official appointment letter as the South-East Regional Director of the Cityboy Movement, a youth-driven pro-government group mobilising support ahead of the 2027 elections.
The presentation took place at Cubana’s residence on Monday night in a brief but spirited ceremony where members of the movement and supporters cheered, sang the Tinubu campaign anthem “On your mandate we shall stand,” and witnessed the formal handover of the certificate.
The Cityboy Movement, established to create grassroots support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda has highlighted Obi Cubana’s influence in the South-East and wide network among young professionals as key to energising regional engagement.
Cubana, officially Obinna Iyiegbu, addressed mixed reactions to his new role, urging critics to respect differing views while emphasising constructive engagement and his ongoing commitment to community growth and leadership.
Supporters see the appointment as a strategic alignment that could strengthen the ruling party’s appeal among youths and business communities in the South-East as the nation gears up for a pivotal election year.
