Rudeboy Vows Legal Action Over Defamatory Allegations by X User

Nigerian singer Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) has threatened legal action after a social media user made allegations about his conduct involving a domestic staff member.

The controversy erupted following the circulation of photos from the 25th birthday celebration of Rudeboy’s wife, Ivy Ifeoma, on X (formerly Twitter).

An X user identified as @Zoyabloms mocked the couple’s age difference, while others, including accounts using the handles @darkskinnedtemi and @chubbiedivah  amplified the discussion with more serious claims.

One post attributed to @chubbiedivah alleged that Rudeboy had coerced a household employee and suggested the worker was underage at the time. The post further claimed that Rudeboy expelled his then-wife and sister-in-law after being confronted. These claims have not been independently verified.

Rudeboy reacted swiftly on X after fans alerted him to the posts. In a strongly worded reply he wrote,
“I hardly reply, but you see this one @chubbiedivah, if you like go private or leave X, I will find you, I will use every necessary means, power, resources and money. You will face the law, I will use you to set an example, a scapegoat. Your only way out is to leave the surface of this earth and relocate to space. To everyone that brought my attention to her tweet, thank you.”

Following Rudeboy’s response, the account identified as @chubbiedivah deactivated both its X and Instagram profiles.

The exchange has drawn strong reactions on social media from supporters on both sides, with some backing the singer’s intent to challenge what they call defamatory claims, and others urging caution and due process.

At the time of publication there were no reports of a formal police complaint or court filing connected to the matter.
