‘God Is Good’ — May D Reacts as Peter Drags Jude Okoye

Nigerian singer Akinmayokun Awodumila, popularly known as May D, has appeared to react to the renewed controversy surrounding his former boss, Jude Okoye, with a cryptic but telling social media post.

May D shared a meme on his Instagram Story showing a man watching as Nigerians call out his former boss, Jude Okoye, online.

The singer captioned the post: “God is good!!”

The post comes amid renewed public attention on Jude Okoye and the long-running controversies surrounding his relationship with former artistes and the P-Square brothers.

Jude, the former manager of the now-defunct P-Square, is currently facing an ongoing legal case alongside Northside Music Limited over allegations of financial misconduct. The defendants have pleaded not guilty to the charges. The latest hearing in June 2026 was adjourned after Peter Okoye was absent from court for cross-examination.

May D has a history with Jude Okoye, having been signed to Square Records before their business relationship ended in 2012. The singer later publicly discussed his experience with the label and his relationship with Jude.

In 2025, May D also addressed the renewed dispute between Jude and former artiste Cynthia Morgan, saying he had chosen not to publicly attack Jude because he had found peace and moved on.
